Easy No-Spread Cutout Sugar Cookies | Only 5 INGREDIENTS! :: Cook Me Food :: These sugar cookies are buttery and crispy-tender. They are made to be cut because they retain their shape very well when cooked. The dough is very easy to roll out and cut and you only need 5 basic ingredients. The cookies don’t rise, so they’re perfect for icing and decorating however you like. They are also wonderful to serve plain. NO SPREAD. NO PUFF. ONLY 5 INGREDIENTS! You will need: • 1 cup (225 g) salted butter (room temperature) • 1 1/2 cups (180 g) caster sugar/icing sugar • 1 large egg (room temperature) • 1 1/2 spoon teaspoon vanilla extract • 3 1/4 cups (422 g) all-purpose flour Let cool completely. Serve. Appreciate! :: USEFUL TIPS :: * The number of biscuits will depend on the size of the cutouts and the thickness of your dough. For thinner cookies, roll out your dough to 1/8″ and 1/4″ for thicker cookies. *Bake thinner or smaller cookies for 8 to 10 minutes. * Measure your flour correctly. Adding too much flour will result in a crumbly texture or sandy taste when cooked. Mix the flour in the container before removing it. Lightly pour the flour directly into the measuring cup until it rises well above the top of the measuring cup. Using the back of the table knife (the non-serrated side faces the flour), run the knife across the top of the cup to remove excess flour. *Let your cookies cool completely before icing them.
